Overview
For Final Four weekend in Las Vegas, BetMGM launched Court of Legends, a two-night branded basketball experience designed to blend live entertainment, talent-driven programming, and broadcast energy inside one of the city’s most iconic venues. The event featured the Cavinder Twins, dunk exhibitions, 1v1 competition, DJ programming, and a custom-built court environment, culminating in a livestream distributed across YouTube, X, and BetMGM-owned platforms.
I came on as Senior Producer and Show Runner, helping steer the project through final build, show development, technical coordination, and live execution.
My Role
I led production across the event and broadcast workstreams, serving as a central point of coordination between agency, client, venue, creative, AV, and livestream partners. My role covered:
- Show running and live event oversight
- Run of show development and refinement
- Technical rehearsal leadership
- Cross-vendor coordination across fabrication, AV, creative tech, graphics, and broadcast
- Talent logistics and show flow alignment
- Livestream planning and platform coordination
- On-site decision making during live execution
The Challenge
Court of Legends was ambitious by design. It combined experiential production, live entertainment, sports programming, and broadcast inside a non-traditional venue, all on a compressed timeline with multiple partners and moving pieces. The scope required aligning creative vision with real-world production constraints while keeping the show polished, on time, and adaptable in the moment.
The Approach
My focus was creating structure around complexity. That meant tightening communication between teams, building a workable live show flow, pushing clarity across technical and operational dependencies, and staying agile enough to solve issues in real time without losing momentum.
From tech rehearsal through show days, I helped bridge the gap between creative ambition and execution, making sure the room, the talent, and the livestream all worked together as one cohesive experience.
The Result
The final event delivered a high-energy branded experience that successfully merged live audience engagement with broadcast storytelling. Across both nights, the show came together as a polished, high-visibility brand moment for BetMGM, with smooth livestream execution and strong collaboration across agency, production, and venue teams.
More than anything, this project showed my ability to step into a high-pressure environment, lead across disciplines, and keep a complex production moving forward all the way to showtime.
